TDI is an Egyptian Investment Company closely intertwining Information Technology with the Tourism, Travel and Hospitality industries. It also has links to the industries of Journalism, Culture and the Arts in the region, namely Africa, the Middle East and the Arabian Peninsula.
It is headed by Mohamed El Ghamrawy (President/Chief Executive Officer) as well as by Philippe Wissa (Chairman/Senior IT Travel-Solutions Consultant) … along with a select group of co-founders and shareholders, all celebrated Travel-Industry veterans representing major walks of the trade. Hopefully soon, shareholders will include other individuals and corporations from Egypt as well as from neighboring regions where TDI productions and brands are marketed.
TDI is designed to induce interaction between the different business sectors and moderators, locally and internationally, directly and indirectly related to the industries of Travel & Hospitality in the mentioned regions. Obviously, it is also meant to stimulate ‘immediate bookings and definite travel activities’, and increase traveler revenues in and into countries represented.
Other Documentary Productions will include short films and cultural presentations, trade-shows and exhibitions, printed guide-books and directories, as well as e-journals and research papers among other travel-related projects.
TDI is the proud owner of AlmanacEgypt.com, the pilot project in a collective of documentary productions intended to present up-to-date information - in all media formats - about Egypt’s Travel Industry and about its people, culture and arts.
On the drawing board – apart from the constant development of Egypt’s Travel portal and translating it into most languages – we are planning its duplication in Arab nations in Africa, the Middle East and the Arabian Peninsula, as well as in a few Mediterranean countries of related histories and connected cultures. Projects in the pipeline are mentioned below, under TDI PROJECTS/THE ALMANAC SERIES.
TDI-Egypt (Cairo Divisional Headquarters) is where national and regional operations are presently conducted. In time, each will become independent while other offices are intended wherever brands are established locally or internationally.
